DRG Deep Dive Warnings & Mission Tactics
Prepare for this week's Deep Dive and Elite Deep Dive with critical strategies for unique warnings. Master Regenerative Bugs, Lethal Enemies, and Pit Jaw Colony to survive Hoxxes IV.
Combat Summary
- The regular Deep Dive introduces
Regenerative Bugsand aPit Jaw Colonywarning. Prioritize high burst damage, elemental effects, and environmental awareness to manage these threats effectively. - The Elite Deep Dive features
Lethal EnemiesandDuck and Covermodifiers. Emphasize team cohesion, target prioritization, and constant mobility to avoid fatal damage and environmental hazards. - Across all stages, resource management and precise Mission Tactics are paramount for success against increasing difficulty and varied objectives.
Deep Dive Stage 1: Regenerative Bugs (Fungus Bogs)
This first stage combines Egg extraction with Morkite collection under the Regenerative Bugs warning. This means enemies will heal over time if not constantly damaged or killed quickly. Focus fire on high-priority targets like Praetorians and Oppressors. Driller’s flamethrower or Engineer’s turret placements, combined with Gunner’s sustained damage, are excellent counters. Scout’s burst damage can quickly eliminate key threats before they regenerate. Plan your routes for efficient Egg extraction and Morkite mining, saving your major cooldowns for bug waves.
Deep Dive Stage 3: Pit Jaw Colony (Fungus Bogs)
The final regular Deep Dive stage features Morkite collection and a Black Box under the Pit Jaw Colony warning. These colonies are large, stationary plant-like enemies that spew acid and can quickly overwhelm an unwary team. Prioritize destroying these environmental hazards as soon as they are spotted. Their weak points are often exposed when they attack. Maintain distance, avoid their acid pools, and use area-of-effect weapons to clear any supporting swarmers. Coordinate with your team to quickly secure the Black Box, as defending it against Pit Jaw Colony acid and Morkite-induced swarms can be challenging.
Elite Deep Dive Stage 1: Lethal Enemies (Dense Biozone)
Kicking off the Elite Deep Dive is an Escort Duty mission combined with Egg extraction, all under the Lethal Enemies warning. This modifier significantly increases enemy damage output, making even standard Glyphids a serious threat and special enemies devastating. The key to survival here is target prioritization: immediately eliminate Acid Spitters, Web Spitters, Menaces, and particularly pesky Wardens. Gunner shields are invaluable for protecting D.O.T.S.I. and the team during intense swarms. Scouts must maintain constant awareness for flankers and quickly dispatch high-threat targets. Keep moving and use the environment for cover against projectile attacks.
Elite Deep Dive Stage 3: Duck and Cover (Dense Biozone)
The final challenge of the Elite Deep Dive involves Aquarq collection and a Resinite Mass under the Duck and Cover warning. This means falling rocks and ceiling hazards are frequent, capable of dealing significant damage or stunning Miners. Always be aware of your surroundings, especially overhead. Keep moving to avoid standing under unstable terrain. Driller’s platforms can create safe zones on ceilings, and the Engineer can use platforms to build protective cover. Use mobility tools like the Scout’s grappling hook and the Gunner’s ziplines to traverse dangerous areas quickly. Focus on collecting Aquarqs efficiently to minimize exposure to both the swarm and falling debris.
