Word Hunt is an original word-search arcade game: three themed letter grids hide 24 words — animals, space, and food — and your job is to hunt them all down before the clock runs out.
Press and drag across the grid in a straight line to select letters. Words run across, down, and in the later rounds backwards and diagonally, so the whole grid is fair game.
Fast finds chain a streak bonus up to +100 per word, wrong drags cost misses, and three misses cost a life. Hints flash the first letter of a hidden word when you are stuck.

Find all 8 words to advance. Finish all 3 rounds in 150 seconds to win; 3 wrong drags cost a life, and 3 lost lives end the run. Your best score is saved in your browser.
Tips for a better run
Scan the word list first and hunt the rarest letters — Q, Z, X, and J stand out in a sea of common letters and pin a word's position fast.
Work one word at a time and drag slowly: a straight-line drag that overshoots by one cell turns a hit into a miss.
Chain finds within 5 seconds to grow the streak bonus — a word found at streak 5 is worth 200 points, double the base.
Use a hint on the word whose first letter you cannot spot at all; the flash points at its starting cell for 2.5 seconds.
In round 3, check diagonals last — most words are still horizontal or vertical, and diagonals are easier to spot once the grid thins out.

How do I find a word?
Press and drag across the letters in a straight line — across, down, or diagonally. Release to check: if the letters spell one of the listed words, forwards or backwards, it is found and marked green.
Which directions can words run in?
Round 1 words run left-to-right or top-to-bottom. Round 2 adds right-to-left and bottom-to-top. Round 3 adds all four diagonals too, so words can hide in any of the eight directions.
What happens if I drag the wrong letters?
A drag of 4 or more letters that is not a hidden word breaks your streak and counts as a miss. Three misses cost one of your 3 lives. Short drags under 4 letters are free — they never cost a miss.
How does the streak bonus work?
Finding a word within 5 seconds of the previous one grows your streak. Each word is worth 100 points plus 25 per streak step, up to +100. Slow down and the streak resets to +0.
How do I win?
Find all 8 words in all 3 rounds before the 150-second clock runs out. Leftover seconds are worth 5 points each. Your best score is saved in your browser only.
