Play Bloom Spell online
Bloom Spell is a spelling-bee word game played on a flower: seven letter petals ring one golden center letter, and your job is to spell as many words as you can from them.
Every word needs at least 4 letters and must use the center letter. Letters can repeat, so short petals hide long words — 4-letter finds score 1 point, longer words score their full length, and spelling a word that uses all seven letters triggers a pangram worth a 7-point bonus.
Ranks climb from Seed to Genius as your score grows, and a fresh daily flower blooms every day. Five minutes on the clock, one flower, as many words as you can find.
How to control Bloom Spell
- Click/tap letter petals or type A-Z on your keyboard to spell

- Delete / Shuffle / Submit buttons work with mouse and touch

Climb the ranks from Seed to Genius — reach Genius before the 5:00 timer runs out to win.
Tips for a better run
The center letter is mandatory — build every word around it and you'll never submit a dud.
Look for common endings like ING, ER, ED, and IES; they turn one find into a family of words.
Shuffle the petals when you're stuck; a new arrangement makes hidden words pop out.
Long words pay their length in points, so hunt 7- and 8-letter words before mopping up 4-letter ones.
The pangram (+7 bonus) is the single biggest score swing — check if all seven letters can fit one word.
Frequently asked questions
Is Bloom Spell related to the NYT Spelling Bee or Blossom word games?
Only the genre is shared — spelling words from a letter hive with a required center letter is a classic word-game format. Bloom Spell is an original implementation: its name, flower artwork, scoring, 5-minute Genius-race mode, rank ladder, and curated puzzle sets were all built for this game.
Can I play Bloom Spell on my phone?
Yes. Tap the petals to spell, use the on-screen Delete, Shuffle, and Submit buttons, and the layout adapts to small screens.
When does a run end?
A run ends in a win when you reach the Genius rank, in a loss when the 5-minute timer runs out, or you can end a run early with the End run button. Your score, rank, and found words are shown, and your best score per flower is saved in your browser.
How does scoring work?
4-letter words are worth 1 point; words of 5 or more letters are worth their length in points. A pangram — one word using all 7 letters — earns a 7-point bonus on top.
Does the puzzle change?
Yes — a new daily flower blooms every day, and you can also practice the other flowers from the puzzle selector above the found-words list.
