Tips for a better run
Your first two guesses should be letter-hunting guesses with no repeated letters — cover 10 different letters fast.
Watch both boards together: a green on one board is a confirmed anchor for your next guesses.
A yellow tile tells you the letter is in the word but misplaced — try it in a fresh slot before reusing old ones.
Once a board is solved it locks with a checkmark; spend your remaining guesses entirely on the unsolved word.
Don't burn guesses re-testing grayed-out letters — the merged keyboard shows everything you already know.

How do I play?

Why did a repeated letter turn gray?
A letter can appear twice in the answer and once in your guess (or vice versa). Feedback is matched left to right: greens are locked in first, then yellows only for letters the answer still has left. A gray tile doesn't always mean the letter is absent — it may just be used up by an earlier green or yellow.
How does the keyboard coloring work?
The keyboard remembers the best result each letter ever earned on either board. Green beats yellow beats gray, so you never lose a hint you already earned.

Is Duo Words a copy of another word game?
No. Duo Words is fully original: the dual-board rules, the word lists, the caddie-free clean design, and all code, art, and audio are original works. It takes the general simultaneous-guess word game genre as inspiration (currently hot on word-game charts) but references no existing games, brands, films, or franchises.
