About the game

Play Blast Arena online

Blast Arena is a fast 2D top-down arena shooter: you are Zappy, a plucky zap-bot dropped into a neon scrapyard arena with 7 rival Grumble bots. WASD to move, mouse to aim, hold click to spray energy bolts. First bot to 15 kills takes the match — or be the top scorer when the 3-minute horn blows. Deaths cost you 1.6 seconds on the respawn pad (with a 2-second shield), repair cells keep you patched, and the Grumbles are always hunting each other too, so every match is a proper free-for-all.

Strategy

Tips for a better run

01

Keep moving — a strafing target is much harder for Grumbles to lead than a standing one.

02

Use the scrap blocks as cover: bolts die on walls, so peek-shoot around corners.

03

Grab repair cells when you're under 50 HP; denying them to wounded bots matters too.

04

Lead your shots: bolts take time to travel, so aim slightly ahead of a sprinting rival.

05

Respawning with a shield is a free push — dive straight back into the fight while it lasts.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Blast Arena a copy of Cryzen.io?

No. Blast Arena only takes the general arena-shooter genre (move, aim, shoot, last-bot-standing deathmatch) as inspiration. Everything else — the zap-bot premise, the character names, the arena layout, the AI behavior, all code, art, and audio — is original work. It is a 2D single-file game with local AI opponents, not a multiplayer FPS, and it references no existing game's branding, maps, or characters.

How do I move and shoot?

Move with WASD or arrow keys, aim with the mouse, and hold left-click to fire your zap blaster. On touch screens, drag the left half of the screen to move and the right half to aim and auto-fire.

How do I win a match?

Be the first to 15 kills, or be the top scorer when the 3-minute timer runs out. If you die, you respawn after 1.6 seconds with a 2-second shield, so stay aggressive.

What do the green cross packs do?

They are repair cells: walk over one to restore 40 HP (up to full). They spawn every few seconds and the bots can grab them too, so don't let a wounded rival heal up.

Why did I die instantly sometimes?

You didn't — a blaster bolt does 20 damage, so 5 hits take you down. Your shield ring means you're invulnerable right after respawning; the HUD shield icon shows while it's active.
