Play Atlas Trial online
Atlas Trial is a geography detective game: a mystery country is picked from a 116-country dataset and you get 6 guesses to identify it.
Every guess returns four attribute clues - continent match, population bigger/smaller/close, area bigger/smaller/close, and capital first-letter match - so each guess visibly shrinks the suspect list.
Type-ahead suggestions keep entry fast on desktop and mobile; scoring rewards early solves (350 for a first-guess strike down to 100 on the sixth). Streaks and best scores persist in your browser.

Tips for a better run
Open with a huge country (China, India, United States) - the population and area arrows instantly tell you which half of the world to search.
A green continent match cuts the suspects to one region; combine it with the capital letter to finish fast.
The capital clue only checks the first letter - 'Brasilia' and 'Berlin' match even though the countries are far apart.
Close (within 10%) counts as a match on population and area - don't overshoot when the arrows turn to approximately-equal.
Watch your streak: a first-guess solve pays 350, a sixth-guess solve pays 100.
Frequently asked questions
Is Atlas Trial a copy of an existing geography game?
No. Atlas Trial is fully original: the detective framing, the attribute-feedback ruleset, the 116-country dataset (compiled from public geographic facts), the art and the WebAudio sounds were all made for this game. It takes the general genre of geography guessing games as inspiration but copies no existing game, brand, character, or artwork.
How do the clues work?
Type a country name and submit. Each guess returns four clues: continent match, whether the mystery country is bigger or smaller by population and by land area, and whether its capital starts with the same letter. Use the clues to narrow it down - you have 6 guesses.
Do I need to know exact populations?
Population and area figures are rounded approximations used only to compare bigger vs smaller - the game never asks you to know exact numbers, only relative size.
How do I win?
Guess the mystery country within 6 tries. Running out of guesses reveals the answer and ends the case. Your best score and win streak are saved in your browser.
