Hoxxes IV: Mastering Destructible Terrain for Tactical Superiority

Exploit the inherent instability of Hoxxes IV to your advantage. Clever Miners utilize tactical destruction to reshape the battlefield, creating lethal traps and strong defensive positions.

Management keeps us on our toes, but sometimes a Miner needs more than just bigger guns. On Hoxxes IV, the rock itself can be your deadliest weapon or your best defense.

⚔️ Combat Summary

  • Utilize Hoxxes IV’s destructible terrain to create critical choke points and lethal environmental hazards.
  • Master Environmental Manipulation to isolate high-priority targets or achieve superior Crowd Control against swarms.
  • A keen eye for Terrain Advantage combined with Tactical Destruction offers unparalleled Combat Strategy options.

Every square inch of Hoxxes IV is a tactical opportunity, not just a mining spot. That ‘visual intel’ from the field shows a Miner with more than just a pickaxe for brains, and that’s the kind of thinking Management hates but we need.

Identifying weak geological points allows a Team to initiate Tactical Destruction. Whether it’s carving out a pit beneath a charging Praetorian, collapsing a tunnel entrance to funnel Glyphids, or simply digging a defensive trench, reshaping the environment is a cornerstone of advanced Combat Strategy.

This isn’t about brute force; it’s about Situational Awareness. Look for ledges, abysses, or even just soft dirt that can be quickly removed to turn a flat arena into a death trap. A well-placed explosive or even just a few pickaxe swings can create a significant Terrain Advantage. Driller and Engineer classes often lead these efforts, but any Dwarf with a pickaxe and a brain can contribute to Environmental Manipulation.

Don’t just mine the rock; use it. Make the planet fight alongside you. It’s the kind of dirty trick Management won’t put in their manuals, but it keeps us alive down here.

🗣️ Miner’s Chatter

Some Miners out there still got their thinking caps on. Good on ya for using the environment, even if it’s a risky play. Not everyone’s sharp enough for it. It’s truly satisfying when those brain cells pay off in the destructible caves of Deep Rock Galactic. Rock and Stone.
