Hoxxes IV Basics: Critical Protocols for New Miners

New Miners must prioritize communication protocols and understand appropriate hazard levels before deployment. Respecting resupply etiquette and fostering strong teamwork are non-negotiable for survival on Hoxxes IV.

⚔️ Combat Summary

Management’s tutorials are always lacking, especially for New Miners. So listen up, Greenbeard. Before you even think about dropping into the bowels of Hoxxes IV for Deep Rock Galactic, understand these critical protocols.

Ready-Up Protocol: When a mission objective is complete, or the Drop Pod is inbound, type ‘r’ in the comms. This confirms your readiness. Don’t hit the goddamn button or call the Pod until the whole Team acknowledges readiness. Premature activation will get you spaced. This is core Communication.

Hazard Assessment: Do not, under any circumstances, jump into a high Hazard Levels mission if you’re not equipped. Stick to Hazard 2 or 3 until you understand the Glyphids and your weapon systems. A dead Miner is a useless Miner, and Management doesn’t pay for carries. High Hazard Levels demand experienced Dwarves, not dead weight.

Resupply Protocol: Nitra is a finite resource. When calling in a Resupply Pod, each Miner gets two charges. Ask the Team before taking a second charge, especially if Nitra is scarce. Sharing is survival. Hogging means the next swarm might be your last. This is basic Resupply Etiquette.

Hivemind Morale: Occasionally, the Team will engage in… shall we say, “morale-boosting” activities. Pinging “We’re Rich!” or a mushroom repeatedly? Let them have their fun. Don’t interrupt it. It builds Teamwork, believe it or not.

Attention Signals: If a fellow Miner shoots you briefly, stops, then pings something, they’re either trying to get your attention or subtly telling you you’ve made a mistake. Pay attention. It could save your life.

🗣️ Miner’s Chatter

The comms have been buzzing about this. Most of the old guard agree: ‘r’ for ready is paramount. Not ruining the ‘we’re rich’ ritual? That’s just good form. And god forbid you double-dip on Resupplies without asking. Common sense, Greenbeards. It’s about Teamwork and respect, not acting like a lone wolf.
