Play Wire Walk online
Wire Walk is an original tightrope balance arcade: Pip the acrobat must cross a 100-metre high wire while gusts of wind shove the balance pole from side to side.
Lean left and right to fight the wind. The balance needle drifts with every gust, grows stronger the further you walk, and if it ever hits the red edge Pip falls — back to the last checkpoint flag.
Gold stars hang over the wire for bonus points, checkpoint flags at 25m, 50m and 75m save your progress, and you have 3 lives and 120 seconds to reach the far tower.
How to control Wire Walk
- Lean left: Arrow Left / A, or hold left half of screen
- Lean right: Arrow Right / D, or hold right half of screen
- Restart run: R
- Mute: M
- Start: START button
How to play
- 1
Press START — Pip steps onto the wire and starts walking automatically.
- 2
Hold LEFT / RIGHT (or A / D, or the left / right half of the screen) to lean against the wind and keep the balance needle centred.
- 3
Grab the gold stars floating over the wire for +100 points each.
- 4
Reach the far tower at 100m before the 120-second clock runs out. You have 3 lives — falling sends you back to the last checkpoint flag.
Tips for a better run
Watch the wind arrow, not just the needle — lean into the gust before it pushes you to the edge.
Small, early corrections beat big late ones: tap the keys to nudge the needle back to centre.
Stars are worth 100 points, but only grab one when the wind is calm — a gust mid-reach is the classic way to fall.
After a fall you get a one-second calm window to steady yourself before the wind picks up again.
The wind gets stronger past 50m — save your focus for the second half of the wire.
Frequently asked questions
How do I keep my balance?
Hold the LEFT or RIGHT arrow key (or A / D) to lean that way, or press and hold the left / right half of the screen on touch. Lean against the wind arrow — the stronger the gust, the harder you must lean.
What happens when I fall?
Falling costs one of your 3 lives and drops you back at the last checkpoint flag (25m, 50m, or 75m). Lose all 3 lives, or run out of the 120 seconds, and the run ends.
Do I need to collect all the stars to win?
No — stars are worth 100 points each, but the goal is reaching the far tower at 100m. Grab them when the wind is calm; chasing a star into a gust is how acrobats fall.
How do I win?
Walk the full 100m wire before the 120-second clock runs out. Finishing with time left adds 5 points per leftover second to your score.
