Play Turbo Taps online
Turbo Taps is a button-mash sprint racer: alternate left/right presses to pump your legs and fly down a 100m track under the stadium lights.
Three hurdles at 30m, 55m and 80m punish lazy timing — leap each one clean or stumble and watch the rival pull away.
Same-side key mashing only gives you quarter strides, so real speed comes from a true left-right rhythm. Beat the rival's steady pace to the checkered line and your best time is saved on your device.
How to control Turbo Taps
- Alternate ← → (or A / D): sprint strides
- Space / ↑ (or JUMP pad): leap hurdle
- Enter: start • R: restart • M: mute

Tips for a better run
Keep a metronome in your head: steady 7-8 alternations per second holds ~9 m/s, enough to beat the rival with clean jumps.
Jump just before the hurdle, not on top of it — the leap covers about 6 metres at full speed.
A stumble costs roughly a second and a half. It is faster to jump early and land past the hurdle than to clip it.
Don't mash one key: same-side presses only give quarter-strides. True left-right alternation is the whole game.
Watch your km/h readout — if it dips under 25 before a hurdle, you will need a perfect leap to stay ahead.
Frequently asked questions
How do I run in Turbo Taps?
Alternate LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys (or A / D), or tap the ◀ / ▶ pads on touch. Each alternating press is a stride — the faster and steadier your rhythm, the faster you sprint.
How do I clear the hurdles?
Press Space, the Up arrow, or the JUMP pad to leap. Time it so you are airborne when you reach the hurdle at 30m, 55m, or 80m. Clip a hurdle and you stumble, losing most of your speed.
What is the goal?
First across the 100m finish line wins. The rival runs a steady ~8 m/s, so keep your stride rhythm above that and jump clean to beat it.
Is Turbo Taps free?
Yes — it runs entirely in your browser with no downloads, no accounts, and no ads. Your best 100m time is saved locally on your device.
