Play Match Point online
Match Point is a timing-first tennis arcade game. You play Pip, a blue baseline grinder, against Rook, a red AI with fast feet and a growing error rate the harder you hit.
Every rally is a duel of positioning and timing: drag or arrow-key your way to the landing marker, then swing at the exact arrival moment. A shrinking timing ring tells you when to pull the trigger.
Serves alternate each point and use their own toss-timing mini-game. Fault twice and the point is gone, so the serve matters as much as the rally.
How to control Match Point
- Move: ←/→ or A/D keys, or drag with mouse/touch
- Swing: Space, click, or tap
- Mute: M
- Restart: R (on game over screen)
How to play
- 1
Alternate serves with the AI, then rally: position yourself near the landing marker and swing exactly as the ball reaches you.
- 2
PERFECT timing (within 60ms) fires a fast shot the AI may not reach; GOOD keeps the rally alive; sloppy timing sails the ball out.
- 3
First to 5 points, win by 2 — first to 7 takes it outright.
Tips for a better run
Watch the landing marker, not the ball: get there early and you buy yourself a clean swing.
PERFECT hits aim away from Rook automatically — pair them with deep positioning to break serve.
On Rook's serve, the ball is slower; use the extra time to center yourself before the ring closes.
Weak shots are rally killers: a late swing is often worse than no swing, because the ball can sail long.
Serving? Hit the toss at its apex for an ace chance; a second fault hands Rook the point.
