Echo Chain is a neon sequence-memory arcade game: six glowing pods, six synthesized tones, one growing chain.

Watch the chain play, then tap the pods back in the same order. Each round adds one more note to the chain.

Getting started

How to play

  1. 1

Watch the six neon pods flash in sequence — each pod has its own color and synthesized tone.

  2. 2

Repeat the chain by clicking or tapping the pods in the same order.

  3. 3

Each round adds one more note. Clear all 10 rounds (a 12-note chain) to win.

  4. 4

A wrong tap costs one of your 3 strikes and replays the chain. Three strikes end the run.

  5. 5

Score: 10 per correct tap, plus a round bonus of 25 × round. Best score and best round are saved.

Strategy

Tips for a better run

01

Say the colors or hum the pitches as they flash — dual encoding doubles recall.

02

Later rounds flash faster: lock the first few notes in early, learn only the tail.

03

A wrong tap replays the round's chain — listen again instead of guessing.

04

Chunk the sequence in pairs; 6 pairs is easier than 12 singles.

05

Three strikes end the run — after two strikes, replay mentally before touching a pod.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I play?

Watch the neon pods flash in order, then repeat the sequence by clicking or tapping the pods in the same order. Start the next round when the chain is complete — each round adds one more note.

Any strategy tips?

Hum the tones or name the colors as they flash — each pod has its own pitch, so your ears can carry what your eyes miss. Later rounds flash faster, so lock in the first 3 notes early and only learn the tail.

Is Echo Chain a copy of a Simon-style game?

No. Echo Chain is fully original: the six glow pods, Pip the listener, the pentatonic synth tones, and all code, art, and audio are original works. It takes the general sequence-memory genre as inspiration but references no existing games, films, or franchises.
