Play Drift Edge online
Drift Edge is a one-key drifting arcade game: your car rolls down an endless winding track, and a single input — hold — is the whole steering wheel.
Hold mouse, touch, or Space to drift right; release to drive straight. Every corner is a right-hander, but each bends at a different angle, so every drift needs fresh judgment.
Drifting always follows the same fixed radius, no matter how fast you go. Learn that radius once and the ideal hold point never changes — speed only steals your reaction time.
Enter a corner while drifting for a +2 CLEAN bonus instead of +1. Chain clean drifts to climb the score fast.
Run off the road and the run ends. Your best score is saved in your browser.

Tips for a better run
Start the drift just before the corner: the ideal hold point sits one drift-radius tangent before the bend.
Sharper corners need an earlier hold — watch the chevron markers for the turn angle.
Release the moment your nose lines up with the next straight; over-holding spins you off.
Skid marks show your drift arc — use them to calibrate the fixed radius.
Speed rises every corner, so brake your instincts, not the car: the radius never changes.
Frequently asked questions
How do I play?
Hold mouse, touch, or Space to drift right; release to drive straight. On the menu or game-over screen, press/tap to start or restart. R restarts, M mutes.
How does scoring work?
Each corner cleared scores 1 point, or 2 if you enter it while drifting (CLEAN bonus). There is no finish line — the run ends when you leave the road.
Why does the car always turn the same amount?
Drifting uses a fixed turn radius at any speed, so the ideal hold point is identical every run. Higher speed only gives you less time to react — that is the difficulty ramp.
Is Drift Edge a copy of another game?
No. The one-key drifting genre is inspiration only; the track generator, drift physics, scoring, car, art, audio, and code are all original works. No characters, brands, or assets are taken from any existing game.
How do I get a high score fast?
Hold through every corner entrance for the +2 CLEAN bonus, release exactly as your nose aligns with the next straight, and learn the fixed drift radius so your hold timing becomes automatic.
