Play Cloud Hook online
Cloud Hook is a one-button physics swinger set in an endless evening sky. There is no jump button and no steering — just a grappling hook, a sky full of clouds, and your sense of timing.
Hook a cloud to swing, let the rope reel you in for height, then release at the peak of your arc to launch forward. Chain swings together and thread golden wind rings for bonus meters. One mistimed release and gravity takes you back down.
How to control Cloud Hook
- Hold mouse button, touch, or Space to hook the nearest cloud above you
- Release to let go and fly
- Tap to start / restart
How to play
- 1
Hold (mouse, touch, or Space) to fire your hook at the nearest cloud above you and swing.
- 2
While hooked, your rope slowly shortens, pulling you higher — release at the right moment to fling yourself forward.
- 3
Grab golden wind rings for bonus distance and listen for milestone chimes every 250 meters.
- 4
Fall below the clouds and the run ends. Beat your best distance.
Tips for a better run
Hook early on your way down: latching while you are falling fast stores the most swing energy.
Release just after you swing past the bottom of your arc, when you are moving up and forward — that is the launch window.
Holding reels the rope in and lifts you, but a short rope swings faster and is harder to time — release before it gets twitchy.
Aim your release toward the next glowing cloud so you can hook again without losing altitude.
Golden rings are worth 25 bonus meters each and they usually sit on the natural flight path — detour slightly to grab them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I swing in Cloud Hook?
Press and hold anywhere (mouse, touch, or Space) to hook the nearest cloud above you. Your character swings on the rope; release to let go and fly with your momentum.
Can I play Cloud Hook on mobile?
Yes — touch and hold to hook, lift your finger to release. The whole game is one button.
When does the run end?
When you fall below the clouds. Your best distance is saved in your browser so you can keep chasing it.
How does scoring work?
You score 1 meter for every 10 pixels travelled to the right, plus 25 bonus meters for each golden wind ring you fly through. Milestone chimes play every 500 meters.
Why does my rope get shorter while I hold?
That is the reel-in mechanic: holding pulls you toward the cloud for extra height. Release before the rope gets too short, because short ropes swing fast and are harder to time.
