Deep Dive: Karl’s Nightmare (Crystalline Caverns)

This dive offers a mixed bag of threats and tasks, culminating in a relatively calm final stage.

  • Stage 1: On-Site Refining & Dreadnought (T) | Volatile Guts, Pit Jaw Colony. Focus fire on the Dreadnought. The Volatile Guts warning means every Glyphid kill is a potential explosive hazard. Maintain distance and avoid chaining detonations.
  • Stage 2: Crystal Scan x3, Egg x2 | Shield Disruption. The Shield Disruption warning is active. Prioritize taking down ranged threats quickly. Miners will be vulnerable; rely on natural cover or Engineer platforms for protection. Rapid extraction of crystals and eggs is key.
  • Stage 3: Resinite Mass x3, Crystal Scan x2. No major warnings. This stage is straightforward. Secure the Resinite and crystals for a clean extraction.

Elite Deep Dive: Irrational Senit (Magma Core)

This EDD presents significant early game challenges, shifting to faster objectives later. Stage 1 is the primary bottleneck.

  • Stage 1: On-Site Refining, Egg x2 | Lethal Enemies. Prepare for an uphill refinery and downhill Morkite wells over extremely uneven terrain. A top-tier Driller is critical for efficient pipeline construction. Nitra veins are scattered and often high up; a responsive Scout is essential for resupply. The Lethal Enemies warning means even basic Glyphids hit harder. Prioritize targets and maintain situational awareness.
  • Stage 2: Egg x4, Morkite Well x1. No warnings. This stage is reportedly swift and rich in Nitra. Push objectives hard to compensate for potential time spent on Stage 1.
